Disaster Monitoring and Response System (DMRS)
Project Summary
In 2012, under funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) U.S.-ASEAN Technical Assistance and Training Facility (TATF), Pacific Disaster Center (PDC) provided Technical Assistance to the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Centre) to strengthen capacity for humanitarian assistance and disaster management coordination for ASEAN member states through the deployment of the Disaster Monitoring and Response System (DMRS). The system was upgraded in 2022/2021 and 2024.
Initial DMRS deployment project and subsequent upgrades were funded by USAID (Contract Nos. 486-I-00-07-00008-0, AID-OFDA-G-17-00057, AID-486-C-13-00005, Award No. 720FDA19GR00018, and Award No. 720BHA22GR00185)

User Access and Restrictions
DMRS is maintained and administered by AHA Centre for use by their office and disaster officers within ASEAN Member State National Disaster Management Offices to monitor hazard and to provide early warning notifications for pending disaster events. Use is restricted to non-commercial purposes for national and regional disaster coordination by disaster management professional within ASEAN. Access may be requested via email at dmrs@ahacentre.org.
